Introduction
Safe Surgical Aid, in collaboration with the Kuwait Embassy in Nairobi, the Relief Organization of East Africa, and the Kilifi County Health Department, conducted a successful medical camp in Kilifi County, Kenya.
The camp focused on surgical interventions for cataracts and other treatable conditions.

The camp spanned five days, providing essential surgical care to underserved communities.
Activities and Achievements
1. Surgical Interventions
- Total Surgeries: 200 cataract surgeries
- Malindi Subcounty Hospital: 105 procedures
- Kilifi County Referral Hospital: 95 procedures
Each surgery was conducted with precision and care, ensuring safety and optimal patient outcomes.

3. Community Screening
- 30 villages screened across Malindi and Kilifi Sub-counties
- 200 patients diagnosed with cataract and selected for surgery
- Comprehensive pre-operative assessments were carried out
4. Post-Operative Care
- Overnight patient observation post-surgery
- Discharge followed by medical review and prescribed medication
- A holistic approach ensured safe recovery and positive outcomes
