Wajir County Referral Hospital hosted the eye camp where we conducted adult cataract surgeries from 23rd to 27th August 2022.
- 413 patients were screened
- 200 patients underwent cataract surgery
- 212 were put on medication
We provided eye drops to all operated patients and sunglasses to protect them from harmful exposures. Post-operation reviews were conducted from 3rd to 5th September at the same facility.
A free surgery means so much for the people of Wajir. Many endure preventable blindness due to lack of funds. This initiative brought hope and healing to towns and villages across Wajir County.
