Madogashe is a small and remote village in Kenya, north of Garissa County. A section of Modogashe is administratively part of Isiolo County.
TA’ALOF AL KHAIR, through GIFT OF KINDNESS and Kuwait Is By Your Side, sponsored the eye camp mission.
The eye camp began with a month-long screening and preparation of patients.
The surgical camp ran from May 5th to May 13th, 2022, attracting around 530 patients from nearby villages.
- 305 patients diagnosed with cataract had successful surgeries
- 225 patients received medication and were advised to follow up at Madogashe Sub County Hospital
On May 25th, specialists conducted a post-op review, reassessing vision and well-being.
This mission was impactful and reaffirmed our commitment to preventing and ending avoidable blindness.
